L.A. Times Book Prize nominees announced

The nominees for the 28th annual Los Angeles Times Book Prizes were just unveiled and the winners will be announced April 25th at UCLA's Royce Hall as part of the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

There are 9 categories:

• Fiction
• Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction
• History
• Science & Technology
• Mystery/Thriller
• Poetry
• Young Adult Fiction
